Ich bin seit 11 Monaten Mama. Das würde ich allen Newborn Mamas raten.

I've been a mom for 11 months. That's what I would advise all newborn moms.

I've been a mom for 11 months – this is what I would advise all newborn moms ❤️

Becoming a mom is one of the biggest changes in life – a wonderful, but also challenging time. After 11 months as a new mom, I want to share my experiences and tips with you to maybe take some of the pressure off and show you that you're not alone. 🤍

You grow with your responsibilities

I can absolutely agree with that statement. When my baby was born and my husband went back to work, I was overwhelmed just thinking about getting through the day with a baby and a dog. And you know what? That's okay!

At first, you lack routine, and everything feels new and overwhelming. But the wonderful thing is: over time, a rhythm develops all by itself that gives you and your baby security. I learned to grow into the role of mom little by little. Give yourself the time you need – you're doing great! 🤍

Everything is a phase

The sleepless nights? The sleep deprivation that leaves you feeling drunk in the morning? I know that feeling all too well. It feels impossible to get through the day on just 2-3 hours of sleep – but you manage it anyway, because it simply has to be done.

My key during this time: When your baby is asleep, give yourself a break too. Yes, I know, the housework is calling – but a midday nap works wonders.

My son sleeps through the night now, and I know those tough nights were just a phase. And that's so important to understand: everything is a phase! It will get better, I promise.

Stay relaxed

You'll become more relaxed over time – I can guarantee you that. Whether it's about baby sleep, teething, or the first steps of baby-led weaning: in the beginning, I often worried way too much.

I used to get frustrated when my baby wouldn't sleep or things didn't go as planned. Now? I take it as it comes. I've learned that it's okay if things don't go according to plan. Being a mom gives you so many valuable experiences that help you approach new challenges more calmly.

Take time for yourself

One of the most important lessons: You are important too! It feels good to leave your baby in the trustworthy hands of grandparents or aunts for a few hours. Luckily, I never had any problems leaving Romeo with someone when I desperately needed some me-time.

These little breaks are so helpful for recharging your batteries. And you know what? You're the best mom for your baby when you're feeling good, both physically and mentally.

Find your own way

Today there are countless opinions, guides, and tips – from sleep training to parenting. Of course, this can be helpful, but sometimes it has confused me more than it has helped.

My tip: Listen to your gut feeling. Try out what works best for you, your baby, and your family. There is no "right" or "wrong," only your own way.

You're doing a wonderful job, Mom! ❤️

No matter if it sometimes feels chaotic or challenging – you are everything your baby needs. And believe me, you will get stronger every day and grow even further.
