Yes, the ROOKIE Premium Elite baby carrier is suitable for babies weighing 3 kg and above and can be used for babies weighing up to 15 kg.
Thanks to the continuously adjustable panel, it adapts perfectly to your baby's hips and grows with them. The softly padded neck support also provides extra hold and support, especially for newborns.
What does it mean when a baby carrier is ergonomic?
Your baby should sit in the recommended squatting position, i.e. their legs should be bent at a right angle and their back should be slightly rounded.
This supports the healthy development of your child's spine and muscles.
Can I carry my baby on my back with the ROOKIE Premium Elite?
Yes, thanks to the variable shoulder strap guide in X or H shape, the Rookie Premium Elite offers you the flexibility to carry your baby both on your chest and on your back.
We recommend carrying your baby on your back from around 6 months of age, once your baby has stable head and torso control.
Can I carry my baby facing outwards in the ROOKIE?
Carrying your baby facing outwards is not recommended by experts, which is why the Rookie baby carrier does not support this position.
One important reason is the squat-spread position, which is essential for the healthy development of your baby's spine and hip joints. When carrying your baby in front, their legs and back are stretched, which can affect their still-soft hip joints.

Yes, many parents use the ROOKIE baby carrier even after a caesarean section. The waist belt sits high on the waist and therefore does not rest directly on the sensitive scar area, which can make carrying more comfortable.
