The Premium Elite Air is the perfect evolution of our Premium Elite — familiar in comfort, lighter in feel, and even easier in everyday life.

  • We position our Rookies just below the chest, so you can carry your child even shortly after birth (including after a C-section).

What's special about our magnetic buckles: The magnet works only when closing, making one-handed fastening particularly quick and easy. Is the Premium Elite Air also suitable for winter?

Yes! The Premium Elite Air is suitable all year round – even in winter. The breathable mesh material ensures that no heat builds up. This is particularly important in winter, as babies and parents quickly get warm when carrying. The Air version prevents heat build-up and sweating – even if you are warmly dressed.

For extra cold days, we simply recommend dressing your baby warmly and optionally using our Winter Cover over it.
Can I use the ROOKIE Premium Elite Air baby carrier for newborns?

Yes, the ROOKIE Premium Elite baby carrier is suitable from 3 kg and can be used up to 15 kg.

Thanks to its continuously adjustable base, it adapts perfectly to your baby's hips and grows with them. The softly padded neck support also provides extra support, especially for newborns.
What does it mean when a baby carrier is ergonomic?

Your baby should sit in the recommended "spread-squat" position, meaning their legs are squatted at least at a right angle and their back is slightly rounded.

This supports the healthy development of your child's spine and muscles.

The adjustable base (10-40cm) allows the carrier to be adapted to your child's size: the base should always be adjusted so that it extends from knee-to-knee. The head can also be secured with a head support.

The Rookie Premium Elite Air has been certified as a hip-healthy baby carrier by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
Can I back-carry my baby in the ROOKIE Premium Elite Air?

Yes, thanks to the variable shoulder strap guidance in X or H shape, the Rookie Premium Elite offers you the flexibility to carry your baby both on your chest and on your back.

We recommend back carrying from about 6 months of age, once your baby has stable head and torso control.
Can I carry my baby facing outwards in the ROOKIE?

Carrying the baby facing outwards is not recommended by experts, which is why the Rookie baby carrier does not support this position.

One important reason is the frog-leg position, which is essential for the healthy development of your baby's spine and hip joints. When carrying the baby facing forward, the legs and back are stretched, which can negatively affect the still-soft hip joints.

Furthermore, in this position there is no direct eye contact with mom or dad, which means your baby cannot recognize important facial and verbal feedback – an essential basis for early childhood communication.

For an ergonomic and safe carrying position, we recommend carrying it in front of the chest or on the back.
Can I use the ROOKIE Premium Elite Air baby carrier after a C-section?

Yes, many parents also use the ROOKIE baby carrier after a C-section. The waistband sits high on the waist and therefore doesn't lie directly on the sensitive scar area, which can make carrying more comfortable.
Does the ROOKIE Premium Elite Air baby carrier fit both me and my partner?

Yes! All Rookie baby carriers are “one-size-fits-all”, so both tall men and short women (or vice versa) can use the same carrier.

Thanks to the adjustable waist belt, it adapts individually and is suitable for a waist circumference of approximately 64 cm to 135 cm – for maximum comfort and a perfect fit.
Which carrying positions does the Premium Elite support?

The Premium Elite is optimized for front and back carrying . Thanks to the integrated newborn function, you can carry your baby on your front from birth and on your back from around 6 months.

Wearing the device facing forward is not recommended for ergonomic reasons.
Can I breastfeed while wearing a baby carrier?

Yes, the foldable headrest offers extra privacy while breastfeeding. To breastfeed, position your baby accordingly and ensure they are sitting securely and comfortably – the headrest can be used for added discretion.
How does the Premium Elite Air differ from previous models?
