The Rookie Story – How it all began

An old belt, a piece of fabric and a stapler...

The idea for Rookie was born with our first baby – and to be honest, we were complete rookies ourselves. We had no idea what to expect, but that didn't stop us from travelling the world with our 7-week-old daughter. Whether through jungles or metropolises – we carried her everywhere, always on the lookout for the perfect baby carrier. But we just couldn't find it.

After 1.5 years and 100,000 kilometres, we had become real babywearing pros, and one thing was clear to us: we would develop our own baby carrier.
