Quick Tips for a Proper Fit
- Make sure the waistbelt sits centered on your body – not shifted to one side.
- Position the waistbelt above your belly button, on your ribs, with the Belly-Kiss label facing towards you.
- Adjust the seat width(the panel) so it supports your baby from the back of one knee to other.
- Your baby’s bottom should be the lowest point, with knees bent at a 90° angle in the classic M-shape.
- Don’t tighten the side straps too much – the goal is to keep your baby’s back slightly rounded. You should be able to slide your hand comfortably between your baby’s back and the carrier.
- In H-position, make sure the H-strap (sternum strap) doesn’t sit on your neck, but across your shoulder blades.
Important Safety Information
Falling Hazard: Babies can fall out of the carrier if the leg openings are too wide.
- Make sure the leg openings are snug and secure around your baby’s thighs.
- Always double-check that the waistbelt and all buckles are tightly fastened before each use.
- Be especially careful when bending over or walking on uneven surfaces.
- Never bend from the waist – always squat down using your knees.
- This carrier is suitable for babies weighing between 3.5 kg (7.7 lb) and 15 kg (33 lb).
Suffocation Risk: Babies under 4 months may suffocate if their face is pressed against your body.
- Don’t secure your baby too tightly.
- Ensure there is enough room for free head movement.
- Keep your baby’s face visible and unobstructed at all times.
Recommended age range: From birth (0 months) to approximately 18 months.
