When Rookie was tagged several times in this group photo on Instagram, we knew: we had to meet her!
I met her at the childbirth preparation course.
The expectant mothers met during their prenatal class and became close. When their children arrived one after the other, they all opted for the Rookie baby carrier. “It all started when Meike ordered a Rookie carrier. Then, when I visited her one afternoon, I tried it out myself. I loved it so much that I ordered one for myself right away. And that's how it all started. Meike's enthusiasm was contagious,” says one of the women.
Each of them chose a different color or style. "That was more or less by chance!" the girls said. "All the colors are so beautiful – it wasn't easy to decide!"
Rookie visits the girls on Sylt
We quickly realized that we didn't want to miss out on this special group photo and wanted to meet the mothers in person. So, within just a few days, our social media manager Sara had everything organized and traveled to Sylt with Ben, the managing director of Rookie, to meet the girls.
Bundled up and equipped with our cameras, we started taking photos with the mothers. In Kampen, at the red cliffs, and on the beautiful Sylt beach. And what can we say? They were real pros.
During the day we had an incredible amount of laughter, took great photos and warmed up in between with hot cocoa and cake.
Managing Director Ben was also there.
Managing Director Ben also made this meeting a point of honor and traveled to Sylt to meet the women. “I’m always thrilled to see the Rookie team in action. Traveling to Sylt to meet this amazing group of women was incredibly exciting for me too. Of course, we were all a little nervous at first. But that quickly subsided, and we had a fantastic day! We’re still in touch and are already looking forward to our next meeting soon!”
