Traveling without obstacles
Who likes obstacles? We certainly like things uncomplicated. I carried my daughter from the very beginning. For example, that's how we first walked up the stairs to our house together, took our first train ride to her grandparents' house, and how Sophie fell asleep in the early days. Carrying her was always the solution in those early days; we were both happy. It was a little break for me, allowing me to get things done and enjoy being close to her, while she felt safe and secure. We were both happy – whether at home or out and about.
From A to B without detours
We had a stroller from the beginning, but it mostly just sat around. The stairs to our apartment are particularly difficult to navigate with a stroller. When you're in a hurry, a baby carrier really shines, whether it's on public transport or while shopping. Instead of looking for the elevator, you can comfortably take the stairs, getting from A to B faster without long detours and easily stopping at even the smallest café. We also always use the carrier on our beloved walks in the woods, as it allows us to explore every little path.

Which baby carrier?
There's no single right answer here; everyone has to find the right one for themselves and their needs. The selection is vast, and so are the differences. Not every carrier is suitable for every situation. We started with a woven wrap, which was a great solution for us in the beginning; we didn't know about Rookie back then. Over time, however, we used it less and less because it became increasingly difficult for me to carry the weight for extended periods, and Sophie suddenly had other priorities. Sleeping and cuddling were no longer her main focus; instead, she wanted to explore the world and see everything up close. So, we used the stroller more and more. But my initial enthusiasm for the new stroller didn't last long. I missed the practical, uncomplicated way of carrying her and the closeness to my daughter. I was so excited when the "Revolution" arrived.
A designer piece for everyday life
It's clear at first glance that the Rookie "Revolution" model has a great design and looks fantastic. On closer inspection, it becomes clear that it fulfills all my wishes for a baby carrier. It fits perfectly, is easy to put on by myself, and even larger babies can be carried comfortably for extended periods. The design is simply wonderful, and the understated colors are exactly to my taste. It's perfect that Sophie also loves it and is now exploring the world from my back. If it gets too much for her, she can still enjoy being close to us and sleep.

Rookie baby carriers come in three models. If you're wondering which one is right for you, you'll find the answer here . We opted for the "Revolution Baby Carrier" because our daughter is already 7 months old and we really wanted to carry her on our backs. It's perfectly adjustable, allowing me to comfortably carry her for longer periods again. A huge plus is how easy the Revolution is to put on! It's really no more complicated than putting on a backpack, and you're done. It's a shame we didn't have a Rookie carrier sooner. It's ergonomic, practical, and the modern, minimalist design is appealing. What can easily be overlooked with this design is the sustainability of the various products. The carriers are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton linen and are breathable, which is fantastic, especially on hot summer days. But what I find most interesting are the shoulder straps, which are made from apple waste from juice production and contribute significantly to the unique design.

We are already looking forward to summer, to the beautiful and warm evenings, ice cream in the sun, summer dresses blowing in the wind, and long walks with Sophie on our back, always close to us.
