Tips

  1. Place the rings on one shoulder of your choice. The rings should sit on top of your chest and slightly below your collarbone. Wrap the fabric around your torso, making sure it's not twisted.
  2. Lay the fabric flat across your back to distribute your child's weight evenly. Grip the fabric. Make sure it's not twisted.
  3. Thread the fabric with the Rookie label through both rings. Make sure the rings stay on top of your chest and don't slip down.
  4. After you have pulled the fabric through both rings, pull it through the lower ring. Fan the fabric between the rings so that it is not twisted and lies evenly between them.
  5. Place your baby on your free shoulder. Secure them with one hand and support their head. Now let your baby slide into the ring sling so that they are sitting with their legs raised. Their bottom should be low in the sling. This supports the healthy M-position (frog-leg position).
  6. Position your baby in the natural M-position. Adjust the leg position if necessary. The knees should be higher than the bottom, and the back should be slightly rounded. Use one hand to support your baby and the other hand to pull the fabric over the baby's back.
  7. Use one hand to support your baby and the other to pull the fabric over their back. There should be enough fabric under your baby's bottom to support them and keep them "sitting" in the ring sling. The fabric should reach from the back of one knee to the back of the other.
  8. Finally, pull on the fabric protruding from the rings to
To secure the excess fabric, gather the excess fabric on the back and underside and pull it tight.
  9. To secure the fabric at the top of your baby's back, pull the corresponding strip of fabric parallel to the upper layer of fabric (over your baby's upper back).
  10. To secure the fabric on the underside of the baby's bottom, pull the corresponding fabric strip parallel to the fabric strip below (pulling downwards).
  11. A low-lying position should be maintained. Don't pull the fabric too tight at the back, but ensure your baby is supported at all times. For comfortable support, spread the fabric widely across your back. The fabric on your shoulder should extend from the neck away and spread evenly over your shoulder to your upper arm.
