Setting up the Rookie Konnekt is quick and easy. However, please watch our video and follow the instructions below.
A few quick tips beforehand:
1. Try out the carrier when your baby is comfortable. That means not hungry, has a fresh diaper, and is well-rested.
2. Gently rock your baby on your chest before adjusting the buckle/strap. This will help your baby gradually get used to the carrier.
3. Your baby might also be fussy because they're lying close to your breast and smelling your milk. You can give them a pacifier to soothe them at first.

General tips
- All baby carriers grow with your baby. This means that adjustments to the carrier will need to be made from time to time if it becomes uncomfortable. When fastening the waist belt, make sure that the carrier is centered (i.e., not shifted to the right or left) and sits above your belly button, on your ribs.
- The Velcro fastener of the hip belt should be completely closed.
- Adjust the bridge so that it reaches from the back of one knee to the back of the other of your baby's knees.
- Make sure that your baby's bottom "slides" slightly into the carrier so that the backs of the knees are slightly above the bottom (M-shape).
- Don't tighten the straps too much. The goal is a slightly rounded back for your baby. Your hand should still be able to comfortably reach between your baby's back and the carrier.
- You can adjust the headrest to different sizes by attaching the lower snap fasteners to the upper "buttons".
- The H-strap should not be located at the back of the neck, but rather on the shoulder blades:
