When we decided we wanted to have our baby with us as often as possible, we first got a baby carrier. These are relatively inexpensive, but we soon realized we weren't happy with the length of the carrier and the cumbersome way it was tied.
A few days later, my wife showed me the Rookie baby carrier, and I was immediately impressed by its minimalist design. I absolutely love that style, and I also really liked the color, especially since beige looks good on men too.
But it wasn't just the design that impressed me, but also the comfort I experienced while wearing it. This comfort was especially important to me, as I wanted to spend as much time as possible with our daughter during my parental leave. Throughout my pregnancy, it was a major goal of mine to be as close to our child as possible.
While in the first few days this mainly involved staying in bed or lying down, eventually everyday life set in and we had to do a few household chores. At the same time, I wanted to give my wife as much rest as possible to recover from the exertion of childbirth. In such situations, the Rookie baby carrier was invaluable. It's incredibly easy to put on, and you instantly have the baby close to you while still having both hands free. This allowed me to give my wife some rest, do small household tasks (like folding laundry), and still cuddle a lot ♡
