Becoming a mother is different for everyone. Every journey is unique and beautiful, but also frightening and overwhelming.
Today we want to remind you as a mother that, no matter what your journey looked like or what stage you are in, it is important.
You are valuable. You deserve it. You are loved and your story is significant.
All over the world, women experience the magic of motherhood. But there are also millions of women who struggle with difficulties and trauma related to pregnancy or the postpartum period! Often, we don't share these feelings for fear of judgment. Yet, we should normalize these topics to ensure that other expectant mothers feel supported, encouraged, and, most importantly, NOT ALONE.
So here's a little reminder for ALL OF YOU!
To the mother who is trying to get pregnant:
We see you. You're waiting, wishing, and hoping that the test will finally show two lines. You watch as the people around you get pregnant like it's nothing. When will it finally be your turn? What did you do to deserve this? You question yourself, blame yourself. BUT it's not you! The timing is crazy, Mom, but one day you'll be holding your little treasure in your arms. You deserve it, and your body is so strong! You may not be a mom yet, but in your heart, you already are—so this message is for you too!To the mother undergoing IVF treatment:
You are tired. Tired of trying. Tired of hoping. Tired of wishing. Tired of the needles. BUT SO, SO STRONG! What a fighter you are—struggling through the pain of treatment and the heartbreak to make sure you bring a perfect little life into the world. It may seem overwhelming and frustrating at times, but remember: you were made for this, and you are writing a magical and beautiful story along the way!
For the mother who has just given birth (4th trimester):
If this is your first baby, you'll probably feel all sorts of emotions: love, bliss, and pride. But you're also likely to feel worried, anxious, and lonely. Giving birth and raising a human being is hard, unpredictable, and exhausting. But you're doing an amazing job, Mom! Just remember that they won't stay this tiny forever. This too shall pass, so savor every second of that baby smell! Don't be afraid to ask for help, and remember, it's okay to take time for yourself! Always!
To the mother who is afraid and worried about the future:
Your pregnancy is drawing to a close: That's exciting! At the same time, your whole world is about to change, and that can be scary! But we want to remind you, or share a little secret with you: IT'S A GOOD CHANGE. You'll soon see, Mom, how incredible YOU and your BODY are! You are a walking miracle, and motherhood isn't always easy, but it's so worth it! And you were made for this journey! Best of luck for this new chapter!
To the adoptive mother:
You may not have carried this little bundle of joy in your womb, but you carry it in your heart! From the moment you decided to let this person become part of your world, you did something truly wonderful! And that makes you a loving and incredibly amazing mom!
The unplanned pregnancy:
Unplanned, but not unwanted. The best kind of surprise, right? An unplanned pregnancy can feel like an overwhelming and frightening journey, but it can also lead to unexpected happiness and moments of pure joy. Despite the challenges, be grateful for the journey and the love that has blossomed from it. Remind yourself every day how strong and resilient you are and how much unconditional love surrounds you. You may not have planned any of this, but be thankful for the gift of life and the opportunity to embark on this journey with open arms.
To the stepmother:
Your child? His child? Her child? It doesn't matter, because a mother's love knows no bounds. Even if that little bundle of joy wasn't born under your heart, you opened your heart to it. Unconditionally. And that makes you a wonderful mother!
We are so grateful to be part of YOUR journey, no matter what it looks like! And we hope that you find contentment in your story and can wear your crown with pride – because you deserve it!
Happy Mother's Day, Mom! 🖤
