Der ultimative Must-Have-Guide für werdende Mamas: Was du wirklich brauchst

The ultimate must-have guide for expectant mothers: What you really need

Dear expectant mother,

The anticipation of your baby's arrival is immense, but the selection of baby products can quickly become overwhelming. One thing is certain, though: every baby is unique, and what is a lifesaver for one family may be completely unnecessary for another.

That's why we asked three experienced mothers – Bekka, Carla, and Laura – what really helped them and what they could have done without in retrospect. Their tips can give you some guidance, but ultimately, what matters is what works best for you and your baby.

Laura's must-haves in everyday mom life

I'm Laura and a mom to a 4-year-old daughter. Here are my essential companions:

1. Postpartum help

Instead of things, I was grateful for support. Friends who brought food, or my mother-in-law who did the laundry, were worth their weight in gold.

2. dummy

The pacifier also helped us enormously with breastfeeding. It calmed my daughter and allowed her to fall asleep in the baby carrier with her dad.

3. baby carrier

Our daughter only fell asleep in physical contact – which is totally normal! Thanks to the baby carrier, I had the opportunity to keep her close to me and still remain flexible.

What I didn't need:

Baby shampoo, cherry pit pillow, baby bed and baby bouncer.

Carla's baby essentials with two children

Hi, I'm Carla, mom of two little whirlwinds. Having two kids at once has quickly taught me what really matters:

1. Formula nutrition

I couldn't breastfeed, so formula and bottles were essential. I remember one night when I was at a gas station looking for food with my screaming baby – never again!

2. Spring cradle

This cradle helped me keep my baby safely and happily occupied while I looked after my older child.

3. baby carrier

The baby carrier gave me mobility and flexibility. Whether shopping, going for a walk, or simply caring for both children at the same time – it wouldn't have been possible without the carrier.

What I didn't need:

Baby bouncer, baby bathtub, baby toys, too many diapers for newborns and burp cloths.

Bekka's Top 3 Baby Must-Haves

Hi, I'm Bekka, mom to an 18-month-old daughter. Here are my personal must-haves:

1. White Noise Sound

White noise was a game changer for us! In our apartment, it helped to drown out ambient noise and allow my daughter to sleep more peacefully.

2. Changing mat for on the go

A changing mat is an absolute must! It's super practical and space-saving – perfect for comfortably changing your baby anywhere.

3. baby carrier

The baby carrier was a lifesaver! My daughter took almost all her naps in it at first. At the same time, I had my hands free to do things around the house or simply enjoy a cup of coffee.

What I didn't need:

Too many clothes, hair bows, a baby bouncer, and cuddly toys.

All the best and much joy with your little miracle!
