2020 - What a year!
For many of us, it was a year full of uncertainty and change. Becoming a mother during one of the world's biggest pandemics turned many things upside down. Perhaps you had to give birth alone because your beloved partner couldn't be there to hold your hand due to Covid-19 regulations. Perhaps you couldn't organize the big baby shower you had hoped for. Perhaps you spent much of your pregnancy or the postpartum period at home, without seeing your friends or family, to protect each other. Perhaps you missed out on experiences and adventures you had dreamed of after giving birth.
Even being a stay-at-home mom wasn't always easy. Long days spent at home with the little ones, with few opportunities to entertain them or show them the world. While this intimate time, time for close family and intense time for our little ones, is something special, it was also often challenging.
We can all certainly agree that this year has been different from most others… Especially as a mother – the restrictions of Covid-19 have presented us with completely new challenges.
This year has been challenging for us parents. We've had to learn patience and understanding. We've had to show a greater degree of compassion and kindness. It's been a year of learning and appreciating the little things, especially family time.
Nevertheless, 2020 has somehow made us stronger than ever, hasn't it? We've learned to be present, to adapt, and to appreciate family more than ever. We've been reminded of the little things that are truly important in life. And let's be honest, isn't it wonderful to give our little ones so much time and watch them grow up?
2020 demanded a lot from us, but it also gave us so much. You did it, Mom! You overcame the challenges and are ready to tackle the new year with true supermom power! Be proud of how far you've come.
Be proud of everything you've accomplished this past year. Being a mother is never easy, but it's in the tough times that we show our true strength! Cheers to you, cheers to a new chapter, and to continuing to persevere!
